STARRY Family Preservation

STARRY continues its mission to support families at risk of CPS involvement, now through a more focused family connection model. In line with state and national trends, this approach emphasizes mental health support and preventative case management to keep children with their biological families, either through reunification or by preventing the need for foster care altogether.

What is STARRY’s Family Preservation program?

STARRY Family Preservation provides services and case management to biological families, helping them overcome trauma and develop stronger parenting skills. Our services aim to prevent placement disruptions and foster positive communication between foster and biological families. By reducing conflict, we help create stability and cohesion, giving children the best chance to thrive.

As a part of the WILCO Family Recovery Collaborative, STARRY delivers intensive, trauma-informed counseling to biological caregivers involved with CPS.

A New Partnership: Georgetown Family Resource Center

In January 2023, STARRY partnered with the Georgetown Health Foundation to launch the Family Resource Center (FRC), where we serve as the lead agency managing operations, outreach, and programming. Located in the former Carver Elementary School at 1200 W. 17th Street, the FRC provides comprehensive, wraparound services for families in Georgetown. This collaborative effort brings together multiple agencies to offer vital resources, addressing community needs and building on local strengths.
